Masterclass and Kirtan: The Play of Shiva and Shakti

An evening yoga masterclass and kirtan with rachel zinman and nyck jeanes
Stuttgart Germany May 1, 2010

It is said that Shiva- consciousness resides at the crown of the head and that Shakti lies dormant at the base of the spine and that the goal of Yoga is to free Shakti so that she can meet Shiva. The heart then is their playground and Bhakti- the yoga of devotion is their dance.

Enjoy a creative vinyasa sequence to release your energy and calm your mind beautiful mudras to balnce the emotions and a heartful and playful kirtan!

Kirtan is a form of devotional yoga called Bhakti that celebrates the beauty of our connection to life and the bliss of unconditional love. In Sanskrit the word kirtan, means, "to repeat" and consists of mantras that are sung in call and response. Repeating the same sounds over and over can bring on a state of deep meditation where the participants experience the power of their own vibrations as well as feeling their inherent connection with others.

The workshop includes:

Opening talk on Shiva and Shakti
Creative Vinyasa sequence, and mudras to balance the heart
Kirtan and Bhajans with rachel and Nyck
